ODP is the OpenDocument presentation format used by LibreOffice Impress and Apache OpenOffice Impress. Converting to PDF renders slides as static pages — animations and transitions become static, but every slide is preserved.
ODP is the standard presentation format for LibreOffice and OpenOffice. Converting to PDF makes slides universally readable — recipients don't need Impress installed, and the layout is locked. Essential for sharing decks, printing handouts, and archiving presentations.
| Input format | ODP (OpenDocument Presentation) |
| Output format | PDF 1.7 |

The converter reads the ODP XML structure and renders each slide as a PDF page using LibreOffice's headless engine. Animations and transitions become static (PDF is a static format), but every slide, image, and text element is preserved. Output is PDF 1.7.
ODP → PDF is designed for sharing and printing. Slide animations become static (PDF can't animate), and slide transitions are lost. Every slide, image, and text element is preserved with high fidelity.
