50 KB is very tight for HEIC — HEIC photos from iPhone are typically 1-3 MB. To reach 50 KB, the image is either significantly resized or re-encoded at lower quality. Best for ID photos and small thumbnails.
50 KB is a common cap on exam portals, ID photo systems, and some messaging apps. iPhone HEIC photos are typically 1-3 MB — far too large. Our tool re-encodes the HEIC at reduced quality (and dimensions if needed) until the output is 50 KB or under. The result stays in HEIC format — fully compatible with Apple devices.

The compressor decodes the HEVC-compressed HEIC image and re-encodes it using libheif at progressively lower quality settings until the output is 50 KB or under. If necessary, the image is resized proportionally. At 50 KB, a HEIC is typically 300-600px wide with quality 50-70%.
50 KB is very tight for HEIC — expect noticeable quality loss or reduced dimensions. Best for ID photos and small thumbnails where the face is the main subject. Not suitable for print or large-screen display.
