Convert OGG audio files to universally compatible MP3.
We’d Love Your Feedback! 🌟
OGG (Vorbis) is an open-source audio format used by Spotify (older streams), Wikipedia, and open-source software. But many devices don't support it — MP3 is universal.
OGG Vorbis is a free, open-source audio codec — technically similar to MP3 in efficiency, but without patent restrictions. It's used by Spotify (older streams), Wikipedia, and open-source software. But many devices (car stereos, MP3 players, some phones) don't support OGG. Converting to MP3 makes your audio play anywhere.
| Input format | OGG (Vorbis codec) |
| Output format | MP3 |
| Bitrate range | 128-320 kbps |
| Default bitrate | 192 kbps |
| Encoder | LAME |
| Metadata | Vorbis comments → ID3 tags |
| Sample rate | Preserved |
| Max file size | 50 MB per file |
| File retention | Auto-deleted after conversion |
The converter decodes the OGG Vorbis audio and re-encodes it as MP3 using LAME at a high-quality bitrate (192 kbps default). Metadata (Vorbis comments) is translated to ID3 tags. Audio quality is preserved at transparent levels.
OGG Vorbis and MP3 are similar in efficiency. At 192 kbps, most listeners can't distinguish MP3 from the original OGG. At 320 kbps, the conversion is essentially transparent.
